Assessment of the vitality of traditional spiritual and moral values of contemporary student youth
(based on the materials of Krasnoyarsk universities)
The article is based on a pilot sociological study and is devoted to a preliminary study of the attitudes of students from Krasnoyarsk universities towards traditional spiritual and moral values, and the role these values play in shaping civic identity. The vitality of traditional values in the student environment is determined by their demand and relevance. During the period of restoration and strengthening of Russia's sovereignty, the position of the youth, especially the most educated, largely determines the future of the country. The turbulence of social processes in the modern historical period makes the axiological choices of the younger generation unclear. For the purposes of analysis and comparison, the traditional quantitative research method was chosen, involving the use of questionnaires. This is due to the ability to quickly and comprehensively identify the depth and objectivity of respondents' positions. When including questions with open and closed answer options, as well as filter questions and control questions, the possibility of a cross-cutting multi-level analysis of the results obtained was obtained. The total volume of the local sample was (T=246) in three universities in Krasnoyarsk. The general results of the study showed that in all groups, family is one of the most significant values. This indicates the importance of family relationships for all categories of respondents. This indicator is extremely important in the context of the crisis of the modern family and Russia's demographic problems, as it provides insight into the priorities and assessments of this fundamental social value by young people. Education and career also occupy an important place in the answers of all groups, which emphasizes the desire for professional and personal growth. Spiritual values (kindness, responsibility, responsiveness) prevail over material values for most respondents, although material values (money, career) are also significant. The obtained results of the assessment of the attitude of student youth to the preservation of spiritual and moral values in the regional community will make it possible to use this information to improve the spiritual and moral education.
