Communicative competence of Russians
The article is devoted to the issues of communicative competence in the field of interpersonal contacts of modern Russians. The research problem lies in the increasing intensity of the processes of transformation of interpersonal contacts into a virtual environment. The reason for this is the digitalization processes, reinforced by quarantine measures during the pandemic. The significance of the study is determined by the need to identify the essence of the transforming phenomenon in order to understand the socio-cultural mechanisms of the formation of a different reality and different communicative competence. Since the modern Russian socio-cultural space is integrated into global trends, the phenomenon of communicative competence is considered from the standpoint of modern cross-cultural ties, as a factor in the integration of the world community in the face of modern challenges. The results of the study showed that the communicative competence of Russians in their daily interpersonal contacts is of an institutional nature and is formed under the influence of historically conditioned traditions. Communicative competence is characterized by a high value of the common social space and the collective nature of its maintenance, adherence to the norm of communication as a sense-forming landmark of collectivity. At the same time, there is a gap between terminal goals and tools for their implementation in ineffective strategies of behavior. The sphere of primary social contacts (family, friends) is defined by Russians as the safest in their changing social reality. Zones of communicative success (family, friends) and insecurity of Russians (multinational and migrant social circles, entrepreneurship) were identified. Against this contradictory background, Russians assess their level of communicative efficiency as high and sufficiently high, which indicates their integration in their socio-cultural space with developed mechanisms for compensating for instrumental deficits. The presented results are a contribution to understanding the development trends of the Russian sociocultural space as a whole and as a part of the world sociocultural space.
