Practices of social and humanitarian cooperation between Russian regions and young compatriots abroad

Young Russian compatriots living abroad are viewed as an intellectual and sociocultural resource. Currently, the practice of interacting with young compatriots is carried out both at the federal and regional levels. However, this direction of state policy in relation to compatriots is less developed in comparison with the programs for the resettlement of compatriots. The article examines the experience of social and humanitarian cooperation of Russian regions with young compatriots. The purpose of the article is to study the best practices of social and humanitarian cooperation with young compatriots in the regions of Russia, as well as to search for opportunities to expand the practice of this interaction. The research methodology is based on a system-activity approach to the analysis of the best practices of social and humanitarian cooperation with young compatriots. The following research methods were used in the work: analysis of official documents, statistical data, content of websites of organizations engaged in social and humanitarian cooperation with young compatriots, analysis of the 2019 content of the specialized Russian Age magazine for compatriots, an expert survey. As a result of the study, the best practices of social and humanitarian cooperation with young compatriots in such regions as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug were revealed. Analysis of the content of the Russian Age magazine showed that the magazine pays little attention to information for such a target audience as young compatriots. On the basis of an expert survey, the possibilities of social and humanitarian cooperation of Russian regions with young compatriots were revealed. In the conclusion, the problems of social and humanitarian cooperation with young compatriots and recommendations for their solution were formulated. Conclusions and suggestions can serve as a basis for improving social and humanitarian cooperation between regions and young compatriots.
