The problems of socialization of young people and the formation of their socio-cultural identity become the main theoretical issues and methodological foundations of scientific and research projects related to the implementation of the state youth policy. These methodological aspects of the study are directly adjacent to the study and analysis of the formation of a single Russian civil nation, national and state identity, education tolerance to representatives of different ethnic groups, interethnic cooperation. The particular relevance of these aspects are in terms of the ongoing migration policy aimed at attracting young migrants in the Russian regions from other national republics and CIS countries, which are designed to fill labour shortages and to take the important socio-economic and socio-demographic challenges of the region development. In the course of the research, the authors identified new trends in the formation of motivations, features and life strategies of young migrants from the national republics of the Russian Federation living in the Nizhny Novgorod region for no more than 5 years.
