Social research on the dynamics of cities and agglomerations
The article presents a rationale for the relevance of socially-oriented approaches to the study of cities and urban agglomerations. The main changes occurring in the living environment of city residents under the influence of the spread of modern technologies and in the conditions of the transition to a post-industrial society are considered. An overview is given with a description of the subject area of the articles in the issue.
