<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article considers the world schemes of waste management, where the focus is on the sociological aspect of the formation of environmental, economic and legal practices. The study was carried out on the basis of a secondary analysis of official sources of supranational and state level. The structure of the global waste circulation operation in interaction with the production relations of different stakeholders is noted. The division into supranational (global models), national (continental), regional and local (local government) is considered, the subjects and the main goals in solving the waste problem are listed. The focus is on both the models themselves and the sociological theoretical studies concerning this problem. The most advanced, relevant global models and concepts are noted: the system approach, the network and institutional approach, the problem of global environmental inequalities (waste and stratification), cultural orientation. The problem branches for which there is yet to be found a solution in management practice are indicated.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>отходы</kwd><kwd>управление отходами</kwd><kwd>сетевая теория</kwd><kwd>глобализация</kwd><kwd>континентализация</kwd><kwd>устойчивое развитие</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>waste</kwd><kwd>waste management</kwd><kwd>network theory</kwd><kwd>globalization</kwd><kwd>continentalization</kwd><kwd>sustainable development</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>Список литературы</title><ref id="B1"><mixed-citation>Яницкий О.&amp;nbsp;Н.
