The public opinion considerably fluctuates from absolute acceptance to a complete negation of NBIС-technologies, and the dispersion of estimates is observed both among students of higher educational institutions and among well-known and authoritative scientists-experts. In this research, we study the respondents’ awareness of an essence of convergent technologies, the ways of obtaining information, assumptions of practical application of NBIC-technologies, and discuss the risks of their use. The information was obtained with a method of questioning of students of higher education institutions of Kursk: SWSU, KSU, KSMU, KSAA, RSHU, and the Russian scientists, philosophers of science-experts.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The social reflection of rapid development of convergent technologies represents a serious sociological and philosophical problem.
