Based on the comparative study, the author explores the attitude of residents towards the urban space changes (Kharkov city-dwellers as an example), reveals the state of collective trauma and offers the ways of overcoming it. The article emphasizes the effectiveness of implementation of the focused interview for social trauma and collective social trauma analysis.
