The author analyzes the current level of development of these technologies, future prospects and risks associated with them. The article gives the rationale of socio-technological support of the NBIC initiative. The author notes the importance and leading role of convergent technologies in the development of society and strengthening of the transformation of scientific consciousness in the background of their development and implementation. The author emphasizes the safe use of NBIC-convergence for man and biosphere, as well as substantiates the need to improve the methods of control of technological risks and strengthening the accountability of scientists, business and government to society.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article discusses the issues related to the comprehension of the processes taking place in the society on the background of the development and implementation of convergent science and technologies.
