The article presents a conceptual justification for the issue&#39;s theme as the connection between &ldquo;religion - values - human potential&rdquo;. A point of view on the human potential of society is proposed as a general framework for considering religious and axiological issues in sociology. An overview and subject typology of the articles in the issue is given.
