Independent work of students (IWS), which has a multidisciplinary character, seems to be a complex object of management that does not have an analytical description of its dynamics. Currently, the factor space of the IWS and the dynamic characteristics of the IWS are insufficiently studied, the knowledge of which will allow creating a flexible system of management and self-management of the IWS. The subject of the study is the dynamic characteristics of the IWS implemented in a complex variable factor space. The following methods were used in the study: literature analysis, the method of questionnaire survey of students and experts. Data processing was carried out using the SPSS software package. In the analysis of empirical data, the method of frequency analysis and regression analysis were used. The analytical models of the dynamic characteristics of students&amp;#39; independent work obtained as a result of the study, reflecting the preferences of students and teachers in choosing the form of the task for the IWS, information preferences when performing the IWS, and others that allow determining the optimal modes of the processes of management and self-management of the IWS.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Independent work of students is an important component of the educational process at the university, on which the quality of training of a new generation of specialists depends.
