Modern crises of a social, natural and economic nature could directly affect the social well-being of Russians and their perception of the future. At the same time, there are very few comparative studies of the perception of the future among various professional groups in Russian sociology. At present, the analysis of the dynamics of changes in the Russians&amp;#39; perceptions of the future from 1995 to 2022 is unique and makes a significant contribution to understanding the social well-being of different groups of the Russian population. The results of the study are presented on the data of the Russian Monitoring of the Economic Situation and Public Health of the Higher School of Economics. The comparison was carried out between 10 occupational groups in accordance with the ISCO-88 codifier of professions and specialties. The analysis showed that higher and middle-skilled professionals, as well as skilled and unskilled workers, are most similar in their reactions to societal changes and challenges. The years 2005 and 2010 turned out to be the most favorable for the population &amp;ndash; an increase in positive expectations was observed in all groups. In 2022, all occupational groups showed a high level of concern about losing their jobs in the future, with the highest levels among office and customer service workers and military personnel. Also, in the latter group, in 2022 we can note the most pessimistic views on the future in general &amp;ndash; 8.3% of respondents believe that in a year&amp;#39;s time their families will live much worse than they do now. The most optimistic are lawmakers, officials, top and middle managers and specialists with medium-level qualifications.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The relevance of this article is justified by a number of global social changes that have occurred in the world and in Russia over the past 5 years.
