The issue contains articles covering various aspects of migration in the modern world, such as the definition of the ethnic identity of the population, the transformation of national identity into a &amp;quot;supranational&amp;quot; identity and related processes, the outflow of the population. The necessity of attracting educational migrants and highly qualified specialists as a strategic resource for the economic and demographic development of Russia is indicated. An important component of state demography is the reproductive behavior of the population. Given the presence in Russia of labor migrants from neighboring countries, the need to provide medical care and inform migrants about dangerous infections also becomes a matter of migration policy.
