The article is dedicated to the memory of the head of the Center for Sociology of Management and Social Technologies of the Institute of Sociology of the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Science in Sociology, Professor Alexander Vasilyevich Tikhonov. The reader is presented with important life stages of an outstanding Russian scientist, which had a great influence on his worldview and determined the formation of the theoretical foundations and methodology for organizing the branch scientific and educational discipline “Sociology of Management”.
