Once closed, conservative communities are gradually becoming attached to the post-material values of the global world, leaving the traditional values of their peoples in the past. The peoples of the North Caucasus are no exception. The population of the region is under the pressure of globalization, as a result of which, traditional values lose their significance in the structure of the value orientations of the population. Transformational processes in the North Caucasus are uneven, depending on the sociocultural characteristics of communities, and often serve as a source of conflict. The subject of the study is the system of modern value orientations. The purpose of the paper is to study the transformation of the value orientations in youth of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The methodological basis of the study are systemic and interdisciplinary approaches. The research method is a secondary data analysis. It has been revealed that the structure of the value orientations of the republic&amp;rsquo;s youth is being transformed under the influence of globalization processes. The attitude towards the family, which is one of the key values of traditional society, is changing. It is manifested in a large number of divorces that are not characteristic of conservative communities in the North Caucasus. In Kabardino-Balkaria the positions of traditional values passed down from one generation to another are still high in the structure of young generation value orientations. However, in recent years, post-industrial values that popularize the freedom of individual choice of lifestyle and self-expression have gained great popularity.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Modern globalization processes and rapid technological development are a source of fundamental shifts in the structure of the value orientations of the peoples of our planet.
