The authors identify and define the criteria of independent assessment of availability and quality allowing to analyze the level of satisfaction of consumers of medical services. They note the importance of studying the opinions of visitors of medical institutions about the availability and quality of medical services. The method of content analysis is used as a qualitative and quantitative method of collecting and processing data on the activities of medical institutions to provide affordable and quality medical services. The authors analyze some official sites of medical institutions operating in the regions of the Central Federal district, including Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk and Orel regions. A number of common problems hindering the improvement of accessibility and quality of medical services at the regional level are highlighted: low organization of activities of medical institutions; untimely provision of medical services; rough treatment of patients by the registry and medical staff; remoteness of most medical institutions from the place of residence of patients; hard-to-reach and expensive drugs, etc.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article provides a comparative analysis of the availability and quality of medical services in the regions of the Central Federal District.
