The article provides a comparative analysis of the factors hindering the political and civic activity of men and women. The thesis is substantiated that an increase in the number of women in political administration bodies will lead to an increase in the level of attention and concern for social and health issues, the problems of socially disadvantaged groups, children and women, the humanization of politics and the decision-making process. The author emphasizes the importance of legislatively fixing the minimum and maximum thresholds for proportional electoral lists of political parties and discusses constructive positive measures and opportunities to improve the use of women's potential in the development of the country.
