The Pro-social potential of&amp;nbsp;volunteer self-organization of citizens and essential characteristics of this phenomenon are noted. On the basis of data of mass poll &amp;quot;Youth participation in volunteer activity: potential, problems, prospects of development&amp;quot; the dispositional structure of volunteer activity of youth of one of regions of Russia which is based on allocation of two differentiating signs is defined, (1) installation of youth on volunteer activity; (2) experience of volunteer participation. On the basis of orientation/disorientation to volunteer participation, four groups are identified, reflecting the social attitudes of young people to volunteer activities: &amp;quot;active&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;potential&amp;quot; volunteers, &amp;quot;passive&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;promising&amp;quot; volunteers. The socio-demographic characteristics of the selected types are described and the potential of youth self-organization in the form of volunteering is estimated.
